Anyone Know Peter Dorfer or Franz Stangl of Carrera Motors South Africa

    Hello,

Anyone out there that knows these guys well enough as friends to get them to check for records or history relating to me car?

I've been researching my car for two years recently I've found previous owners and some history from abbot cars, many individuals have told me to try Carreras. Peter Dorfer has said on the phone he would help but will not return emails or help in any way.

I've said I would pay for his time but he don't seem to be interested in helping people find data for these early cars.

Is there anyone who can help?

    Thanks Lee

John Abbott is extremely knowledgable about early S.A 911's. Lookup Abbott Cars in Gauteng - John's son's business and they should be able to put you onto John.

    Hello Rob,

I spoke to Tim a while back and got an old invoice but was told that John is the person to speak to as he holds a book with info and some photos of old cars, someone said they would speak to John but they never confirmed he had anything, for some reason they stopped all contact which is strange.

Wish I could speak to John in person but haven't been able to contact him direct. A guy called John Clive Prins owned the car in the 90s and have his address but didn't get a reply from the letter I sent. He lives in Roodeport, Florida. Running out of ideas I guess.

    Thanks for your help Rob,

    Lee
