Hello,
I'm new to posting on the forum. I have searched for this information but I haven't really narrowed down my plan. I'm restoring a 65' to a high level with hopefully the correct details.
This tank had undercoating sprayed all over it but I found the correct gray color when I scraped it off. My questions are
1. The entire tank was sprayed gray at the factory?
2. The thick dynamat looking stuff was applied over the gray paint in the area of the spare tire bump and left black?
3. The bottom was left gray or sprayed black textured with the rest of the body?

The tank has been dipped and lined inside. I have the exterior sprayed with grey epoxy primer that matches the gray that I found on the original tank. Just need to decide to leave the bottom gray? And spray bedliner the tire bump area to somewhat copy the thick sticky mat.

Thanks for any help.
