**hands waving, jumping up and down**
    shouting for:
    Marek...Come in Marek!!
Still waiting for my SWB Euro lenses!!
Maybe I'm the eternal optimist or just a dum-dum.
I still believe he'll contact me to say the lenses are enroute.
    Is 2 years too long?

Not a glowing recommendation I'd say.
I'm not asking for much, just want to complete the deal
    from several years ago.

    HEY MAREK!!
    I know you're out there...
Can you please send me the lenses?
Maybe send them home with Eric. I can pick them up from him.
    Seriously.
This is (and I am) getting old.

    Hey Eric

Why don’t you handle his lenses here in the US?

Does Denmark have "no contact orders" that prohibit him from completing transactions with the USA?
I'm still looking for Marek to no avail.
Surely a reputable, world renowned supplier of parts that advertises on this site, attends most if not all the Porsche related events, (some here in the States even!) and Europe would respond to many inquiries.
    What gives?

I heard that the company that was producing the “Bosch” lenses lost their “license” to another company and that things are on hold for now. These lenses have always been shrouded in mystery to me. I wonder why Bosch doesn’t just produce them again? I realize volumes are relatively small but margins must be huge.

    Cheers,

I missed your reply to this.

I don't carry anybody else's products except in a rare occasion where I bought an extra.

In the case of these lenses, I think as Mr Audette said that there is a current hold on these items for whatever reason I'm not sure of. Could be licensing, or could be a manufacturing issue with the mold (this happened in the past).

That being said whoever has some of these left will probably run out soon, and then what? I think Carpoint has some, and perhaps Aase. Imho, you need to be really specific when you buy them. I don't think there are any USA sets anywhere.

Getting items produced is getting more difficult and taking a lot longer than it did just a few years ago. I've stopped making a few items as there was no way to get any additional production from the manufacturer, or they changed minimum quantities, or raised prices etc. etc.

I've stopped making (for a variety of reasons):
Houndstooth (I used to be able to get single yards done of custom colors as well)
Muffler tips (I did 3 kinds, Dansk, Leistritz/Bischoff, and 912)
356 headlight stone guards (tenax body mount style)
Headlight attachment screws made from brass (I'm trying to get them made in stainless)
Headlight trim rings (again, made from brass), the only alternative is URO which is made from steel w/ crappy chrome and don't fit right and have incorrect screws.
Window winder cranks for 65-67 cars (I'm trying to get those done again, but so far "no go"), the alternative is in the marketplace but the knobs are "wrong".
Roof racks (I have 5 or 6 left I think).
67S rocker deco (I'm trying again, but at this point it's a "no go" for a variety of factors)

Marek may not be able to fill orders due to shortfall of product that he thought he had coming (I have NO idea), or QC issues with product onhand (again, I have NO idea)...

But if you need a part, and someone has it, I certainly wouldn't wait and assume they will have it 6 months from now when you "really" need it.

Interesting reading John , can inform you that you are wrong

I find it funny with ALL the experts we have on this site and there are many maybe to many sometimes
nobody mention that the BOSCH lightning division is sold to another sister company called AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTNING located in Chech years ago
you want bosch buy a dishwasher
thats why if you by a new H4 lamp it dosent say BOSCH on the glass anymore just AL
and they dont want to make it them self ,so they ask magneti merelli to do it , thats there box you get ,when u buy it not Bosch , and they also dont want to do it, so they asked Hella to give them the lamp thats why it have the Hella sticker on it Not Bosch
    confused....
and WHY should they do the lenses again, lets say they can sell 20.000 pcs which is nothing compared to a VW jette lens which the make 1.000.000 of
even if they sold them for 100usd each its NOTHING in there world

So peter I will offer you a refund in which I have offered you serval times, I dont want to spend more time on it
( to make the story short I sold Peter rear lenses with a paint mistake , I was not aware or peter at the time , and in the mean time I am sold out )
I DONT know when I will get a new run, maybe never so lets end it here , send me a pm and I paypal you, what ever you paid which I cant remember now

    Happy christmas everybody
