That would be entirely up to the owner of the car.
"Jeeeez-Louise"??
Really Rick?
When did we start believing that we're entitled to know what's going on with another's personal property? And show subtle outrage when they don't showcase or parade it around? It is primarily because of this behavior that I don't post progress on my 300011 car.
Just because you may enjoy broadcasting your life or stuff to the world doesn't mean others are obligated to do it. I'm at a solid "6" on the Twisted/Demented scale to see a guy like this crush his car in front of people like you just to see your head explode. His property; his business. As far as I know old Porsches are not on a historical registry or "protected."
I find this attitude very puzzling. What does this self-appointed Town Crier position do for you anyway?
Frank,
I believe a forum like this is a two-way street. The topic starter did want to get the info, but once he got that disappeared from the site, never sharing anything.
That's his prerogative, but for some people that are genuinely interested in what happens to these cars (me included), it's puzzling and frankly a bit egoistical.
Rather than seeing this a 'Town crier' position, you can also see it as a compliment that some people, even 5 years after someone brought this up, still remembers you and your special car.
Patrick
Just curious Patrick...
Do you think those of us here owe this forum a progress report or current status on our cars?
If not then why do you suppose Rick colored his post with veiled frustration because the happy Hawaiian has gone dark?
Frank, where can I sign up for your life coaching?

Easy-easy-there, Big Fella. Just curious about a '64 that turned-up outta the blue, then? . . .
. . . hasn't been heard from in a few years. That's all
People do forget about us, ya-know
Aaaaaaand . . . . that's why no one dares ask . . .
. . . even though you did manage to squeeze in a seriously off-thread reference to it?
Also, well . . . . . . . you're a bit --- you know . . . . intense?
Whew. Not much to say to that --- except/maybe . . .
. . . wipe your chin?
A '6' . . . really?
Really?
After all these years?
Hm
Hhhh
Well --- right now? . . .
. . . burn about ten minutes of my life that I'll never get back
Oh, but then/again ----- there's always . . .
.
