In contrast, a hacked Datsun 240Z conversion in downtown Escondido. I like 240Z coupes, but not cut-up to make a convertible.

    I'm not a fan of 'hack-jobs,' either --- who is? . . .

. . . but this is one car that Datsun really should've explored

I've seen several over the years, and --- properly done? . . . I think that the car can be pretty stunning. If Datsun hadn't been so busy building/shipping/selling/supporting 'cheap' cars? . . . who knows where this could've gone?

Anyway, the problem w/ mosta these kindsa cars is that they've usually been carried-out by someone who --- well . . .

    . . . got carried-away

First the roof comes off --- then the spoilers sprout, arches flair, the inevitable V8 conversion --- anyone remember Scarab? . . . and-on-and-on-and-on . . .

    Too bad

    If it were me? . . .

    . . . I'd skip the top . . .

    . . . prolly weld-on the doors

    . . . stick in a TRACO 5-liter . . .

    . . . 'glass everything that I could find a piece for . . .

    . . . uh --- yabba . . .

    . . . uh --- dabba . . .

    . . . uh --- DOOOOOOOOOO

That's the ugliest CGT wrap job I've ever seen.

Makes the Gemballa version look halfway decent.

    +1 Marco
We need Chip Foose to boost this car and unwrap it on TV.
Lots of new 918 owners are wrapping their new toys as well.
These are pedigree Porsches...not klown kars .

The 918s are factory wrapped with the Weissach package, exactly as seen on the Carrera GT. You can also get black/white Martini.

My associate is taking delivery on his Weissach model next month without the wrap. The factory will wrap your 918, or send the wrap to your destination dealership for install, or delete the wrap from your order. It's really up to the build sheet of the ordering customer.
