Thread: Car Show in the Parking Lot

  1. #41
I heard rumor BMW NA will drop 1 Series to be replaced with a Mini-based front wheel drive model range. Ironically, 1 Series 5-door liftback has been popular in Europe but never available here.

    Oh-yeah --- one more thing

    Car's ugly. Camo-wrap helps . . . but not much

Last two shots are of what looks like an X-series --- a 3, maybe --- but . . . . do I care? Needs camo. Woof!

Anyway, I'm sure I'll see both of these mutts at the L.A. Auto Show . . . coming-up next month

    Mercedes-Benz 280 SL

    Seen in Carmel-by-the-Sea

    Kind of a 911 competitor, I guess . . .

    . . . and kinda not

Like the Dino, here's another choice for someone looking for a sporty car, circa-1970. I've read that these cars came w/ ZF 5-speeds (My Choice) --- but they're pretty rare . . . so most came like this

    Yawn

    Not bad cars. I hear all the time how well-made/-engineered/-appointed/-etc . . . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . . . . . snore. That --- and these cars are a bit pricey to sort-out if someone's ignored/abused/damaged 'em, in any way. Then again --- I've never seen these in anything but stock condition . . .

    . . . and a lot of 'em are ------- beige

    Maybe a good 'cruiser'

The Pagoda is a nice car , its build for something complete different than the 911, they dident try to compete with the 911
they where build for another crowd , its more a boulevard cruiser than racer

You can allways spice it up with a period correct3,5 v8 conversion , look at it this way, like you convert a 912 to 911
the gray car on pics, is one of mine old v8 conversions, it sold at Essen in 2012
( just some test driving ) miss the rear lamps etc on the pic

If i converted the history of Pagoda´s I had in the past to 911´s history , then I would have a nice collection

early cars I restored in the past counts chassi number 14 ( The spa liege winning car of mr Bohringer ) car 20 , 21 , my privat car 24 first US export , 26, 33 ,46
emagine if this was 911 chassi numbers :-) not bad

NOTE if you think its expensive to restore a 911 , then NEVER buy a pagoda , parts are crazy expensive and there is alot of them

Wow, that first one. What a great shot. Going to show this to my dad who was NYPD (and a Porsche owner) starting in the early 70's.

Truck Show in the Parking Lot

Perhaps I should say "Truck" in the parking lot, but saw this Chevy for several weeks, near the Palm Beach County Courthouse. Having grown up in the country of the South, I like it.

Not exactly my kinda Ride . . . but what a beauty! Clean-clean-clean

Whenever I see something like this? --- and think of the Brave Soul who owns/drives/shares it? . . .

    . . . I just wanna shake somebody's hand
