    Extremely . . .

    . . . bitchin'!

I know next-to-nothing about vintage David Brown Astons . . . except that these 're stupid-valuable cars anymore

    This one looks to be a DB4 --- series II, maybe? . . . and--well . . . .

    . . . 'restored' just doesn't really cut it --- does it?

Seeing something like this --- anywhere else . . . just about takes my breath away

    So . . . seeing it here . . . just casually laid-up @curbside, like this . . .

    . . . . makes me wanna give somebody a hug!

    Check-out the 'crowd response' --- this is Carmel-by-the-Sea . . .

    Citroën . . .

    . . . DS21

Funny. Seen these cars my whole life --- but never driven one . . .

. . . or even looked at one very close, for that matter

Interesting/nifty details --- all the little bits o' trim are amazing . . . + this one appears to be well-kept/-tended

    40 years-old? --- and still looks like nothing else on the road --- except . . . maybe? . . . .

    . . . a Porsche?

Don't think so? Look at that pointy nose, the whole air-foilish profile, the forward peak to the roof, those back quarters that sweep back then shroud a simple tail panel . . . . a lovely almost-amphibian form

    Pluck-off the wheels + add some fins = submarine . . . or maybe a shark

    Mil-24

Ok-ok --- 'airshow' in the parking lot, this time

Mil-24, NATO code-name 'Hind' . . . better known by its pilots as the 'flying tank', or летающий танк. Also Крокодил . . . 'crocodile.' Haji just called 'em Shaitan-Arba . . . 'Satan's Chariot'

    Boom-shaka-laka-laka

The Godzilla of gunships. Love this thing. Even sitting de-fanged, like this . . . thing's scary. Wonder how many Mujahidin's departure for paradise began with a short/last look at this

Gunship/troop transport w/ nothing comparable in the West . . . where our choppers are either one or t'other. Can carry up to 8 assault troops . . . along w/ bombs, rockets and cannon. Stub-wings supply almost 25% of the total lift at speed. Heavily-heavily armored, too --- including the .50 cal-resistant glass. Nothing short of a 23mm will even scratch this thing. Fast, too. Still holds a number of 1000km closed-course speed records . . . @200 MpH+. Does barrel-rolls, too. I sh!t you not

How do you say 'poll-dancing assault rhino' in Russian?

Anyway, how this beastie ended-up out here, I don't know. But feels sorta good to see something like this. Good/solid/straight-forward . . . effective

    Hey --- how many can I get . . . . for price of a Blackhawk?
