Welcome Dan! What a great car. There is a wealth of knowledge here that is freely shared. Stay tuned and also spend some time reading past discussions. One hint - don't use the built-in search function here. Use the following at in your browser search window or at Google: site:early911sregistry sport seats or whatever topic you're searching on. The archives here are encyclopaedic in scope.

    Blood in the water.

Double your coverage and tack on a bit more just to be on the safe side.

Always interested in the back story. Why have you not been using the car after owning for so long? Just curious.

Hello Frank, Thanks for the infomation.

I bought the car for my son's high school graduation present. Not a good ideal by the way. He drove the car for about 6 months and lost his license. So the car was parked. He went to school, got married needed money so I bought the car from him. I wasn't a Porsche guy at the time but I did love old cars and love to drag race. Still do. I have always been a blue oval fan and have several Fords that took all my time and money. Now that I am retired I have more time to spend working on them and driving and racing.
I will give the car back to my son, but right now his family and career are very demanding of his time. I will continue to improve the car so that when he gets it back it will be in great shape.

If you wanna insure it in case it you need to repair it, I would say $100k. If you want to insure it in case it is stolen? I would say AT LEAST $150k.

Great story. At least he didn't crash it. (You'll have to provide color in the future. Like when your son is old enough to laugh at his boyhood antics).
I think you will be very glad that you decided to keep it in the family.

Remember: No side stepping the clutch pedal.
