Thread: I just registered for the Traverse City Parade Concours.

I just registered for the Traverse City Parade Concours.

This is going to be fun. Been dreaming about it for the last seven years and now it's here.

My goals for the Concours are:

    1) Have fun
    2) Meet in person so many of you fellows that I've known for years "online"
    3) Learn a lot about Concours at the "national" level.

I have a LOT of work before the day arrives. . . but this should provide a catalyst to finish everything up this spring.

This will be my first national concours and yes, I'm going in the "full" class, might as well go all the way.

    Who else will be there?

    Any suggestions for a first-timer?

It is a great place for a Parade. I attended in 1989.

I'll be up there. Looking forward to meeting you. I entered the '71 in the Preservation class. Pat is going to be shown along side his little brother, Pat 2 (it's a long story).

IMO you have the right order of your goals and I plan on having fun there also.

I am thinking on going too. Never been to one of these. I am new to the PCA only 3 years. But it sounds like a blast.
What are your plans, it last a week, my thoughts is just the car judging part of the events. I have a car to enter in the preservation class. The car must be driven to the event, and over 150 miles points will be added. This class must have 70% original paint and interior.

Can't make it to this one. It will be Monterey next year for me. I would love to see John's 911 however. Good luck John and have a great time!

we will be there, got registered the first day and are entrants 456 a and b

    456

good number...... its the M456 designation that makes a couple of my Porsches handle really well. Sport Suspension, sport shocks, and HD front and rear sways

I take this all as a good omen

John S, last we were there was in 1989 also, and the following year was also Monterey which we attended.

We will see you there for sure.... keep working on that patina with the simple green and a buffer wheel. We are dying to see it on the lawn ~~~~

'89 Parade was a great Parade. Maybe Don, I may be a late entry, just don't know yet...

At last years Parade Ed sure had fun checking the white car out in Concours prep.
