    Thumbs up WDI Car & Bike Show

    Two weeks ago my company, Walt Disney Imagineering, put on it's first (official) employee car and bike show.

    We had an impromptu car gathering about a year ago in a parking lot where I brought the 911, but this time was a big deal on our green space quad for about a half a day........... and this time I brought the old Chevy for a change.

    Although I had seen a number of the cars at one time or another (the car fraternity networks...) I was surprised at the general quality and diversity of the cars and bikes that showed.

    - Of the 4 trailered race cars that showed this Formula Ford and Sports 2000 are driven by the two REAL racers of the company... The Ford driver is a National Champion and the S/2000 driver now owns Shannon Race Cars....

    The pretty metallic red E Type belongs to my boss's boss, and organizer of the event.

    The owner of the 'flat tracker' use to compete on that bike in the day... now he and the same bike are do'n vintage events...

    Oh, the chopper tank (and whole bike) was done by West Coast Choppers for a Japaneses bike show... under the multiple semi trasparent glazes there a Japaneses 'raising sun' flag............ pretty incredible paint job.

    It was a GREAT day with the 4 winners all coming out of the 'Creative Division' of the company (the division I work in) and 2 out of the 4 (Dave's Amficar and John's Bonneville) coming out of the 'Dimensional Design' department (the model shop, the department I work in)...
