Looking at 4 x Pirelli P6 205 60 15 about $120 each for normal road use in 73RS rep.
I understand that RS's came with 185/70 up front, and 215/60 in the rear running 7 & 8's.
Comments ??
John what did you end up with ??

Actually OE was 6 and 7 with those tires.

Andy,
RS's did indeed come with 185x70's and 215x60's on 6's and 7's first, then on 7's and 8's....
I think the 205x60 on the rear will be too short... I do take it your RS rep. is a flared car.
In the days when I could still find an 'ultra high performance' street tire I ran 205x60's in front and 215x60's in back on 7's and 8's
The car had a wonderful ride and looked pretty damn good.
Hope this helps,
Chuck

Hey AB
I did a lot of looking locally with little luck. I wanted 185/70-15 and 215/60-15 for my 7&8 rims. The Pirelli P6 Cinturo lists as having a 215/60-15 but no one was able source them locally... There are some 'no name' brands that produce the sizes, but their speed rating is too low. I was getting close to organising a Tirerack order.
I went with Michelin TBs in the end. I was replacing the tyres on my daily driver and noticed he had a S/H set of Michelin TB from a customer that had only done a few hundred kms. They are fat and square and look great, but are a very tight squeeze under the guards and will need some careful alignment to avoid rubbing.

Gents thanks fro your input.
Chuck the problem I'm having is finding anything much in 215 60 ....
John ti use an expression of yours, the are the ducks ! That's just what I'd like ! But I believe I'll have to settle for something less..... I'll keep looking. Let me know if you stumble accross anything.

The Toyo website seems to have some tyres in the original sizes... http://www.toyotires.com.au/all-tyres/teo-plus
