Just responding to this b/c my name came up, otherwise Im not a fan of solicitation.
Im Chris from Stuttgart Studios. We are not offering any stickers before 1970 at the moment, because, as all of you clearly found out, everything before 1969 is a hodge podge of different designs, formats, and flavors. In a lot of cases there were regional distributor formats used, but Ive seen other sales where the car was basically written up on dealer letterhead as well. So there's no hard rules being followed. Porsche did not adopt the more commonly seen tall and narrow stickers of Porsche+Audi until 1970.
That said, I'm more than willing to continue expanding our range. But we'd need help from you to make it happen so we could create these stickers for you guys. First, we'd need the exact dimensions of the various sticker types from the distributor or other regions to make sure everything is spatially exact. The forms might even change from year to year. But, if we have the dimensions and a decent, flat scan of an original, theres a good chance we can make things happen.
Pricing is one hurdle. You guys are probably a good source for that. We have some pricing prior to 1969, but it is not encompassing. I know in the early 1970s there were even different pricing for east/west coast cars. The other caveat is syntax on the sticker. To accurately re-create things, we really need to see an original with the same options as the car you have.
For instance if you have a 1969 911S with leather seats, we need an original sticker to conclude if its syntaxed as "Leather Seats", "Leather Front Seats", "Leather Seats-Front", Genuine Leather Seats", etc.
I'm interested in working with you guys to help make something happen. I think the potential results are favorable. And, combined with our MOTIF aging, could yield some impressive results. I might even create a few more MOTIF options to leverage the pre-1970 designs.
Our stickers have been used casually for dens and garages, or for full concours. A client recently won at Cincinnati's Ault Park Concours, and Lexington's Keeneland Concours w/the help of one of our reproduction stickers.
Thanks FL-Frank for the good word!
If anyone owns a 1973 911E coupe and still has a copy of their original window sticker, I'll paypal you 5 bucks American for the trouble of taking a readable camera phone pic of it for me. Im missing this particular vehicle from my archives. Thanks.
