    Stoddard's '69 'S' . . .

    Just saw this in my e-mail . . .

. . . We're working on a few great old Porsches here at Stoddard, including a 1969 911S and a 1973 911T . . . The 69S is getting some repairs to some areas of rust and collision that weren't really evident when we purchased the car a few years ago—but project creep has taken hold of our little blue 911 in a big way . . .

    The 'T,' we know about . . .

    Any more details? --- or pics, maybe? . . . . of the 'S'? . . . . . . Per?

I'm curious as well. Haven't seen much, other than a few references in their newsletter and FB page

"One of our internal projects, a 1969 911S, goes under the knife. As a result of this suspension pan replacement, we've started retooling for the factory jig that checks this part's position against the suspension pickup points. Copies of this jig will be available for sale soon. "

"This is the panel that started the work on our 69s. It's got some corrosion in the seal channel and a few bends in it."

"Work continues on our 1969 911s. A tweaked front closing panel lead to some serious work."

    Stoddard's '69 'S' . . .

    . . . as of 10 months ago . . .

'. . . Sometimes restorations are a little like childbirth. Lots of expense, work and occasionally some fussiness as we work through the issues of making a car look like new. Our 911s went into the shop about 9 months ago and it has finally come home to our nursery—showroom—with a whole new lease on life . . .

    . . . We'll be doing a full photoshoot on the car shortly—for now, here's a teaser . . .

. . . and is this the car w/ the VIN that's right next to Mr Conklin's (cornpanzer's) car?

um. Not much going on here with it---Bruce's 912SWT is getting some work done and after that, the 911S is getting some tuning/mfi work. It hasn't been outside much for me to shoot it.

I'll put it on my list of things to do.
