    A special 72S

I want to share a few photos of a very special 72S just received from Mr Konradsheim in Austria.
Over the years i've seen this car at various stages of restoration, now it's finished and is exposed in the Porsche museum for the 50 years celebrations.
It's a 72S coupe' specially made for Ernst Piech, the older of the nephews of Prof Porsche and son of Louise Porsche. Colour to sample (sort of petrol blau met), interior totally in buffalo leather with special houndstooth, including ST racing buckets, colour coded wheels, becker radio.
Special car for VIP "client", looks really gorgeous IMO.

Love the Becker Mexico...looks like it has a cassette player. Wonder why stereo when there appears to be only one speaker, under the dash grill. Neat car.

Wow, that is wild! I wonder if there are photos showing it originally, especially the interior. The leather covered dash is unique as it is the tri-color hound's tooth on all the interior panels. I wonder if Eric provided that material for the restoration. Very cool.

For the records, the car is #507.
Dr. K has written me that the tri-colour houndstooth was originally sourced from a local men's tailor shop, and had to be reproduced.
