For years a 67S rhd coupe sat in a field just 25 miles from where I live. I saw it on the road a few times then it was parked. It had GB plates. I tried to buy it several times with no luck and finally gave up. It was still there two years ago. I have no numbers.

I can't fully confirm things 100% just yet but it seems another special order 67S was built by the factory and delivered to a Rhd market (not the UK) which would make the total worldwide production of Rhd 67S cars to 36. I have 23 survivors on my list worldwide so far.

    Steve

Is the car still there? What colour was it?

Mike the car was eventually sold and back in the UK I think. I saw it at a Porsche dealer in Idaho in running condition about 1980. Then it was parked right off the road for years. It never moved. Lawn ornament. As it sunk further and further into the mud I gave up. The guy wanted all the money for it. Then 2 or three years ago it was no longer there. I heard that it was being restored in the UK. It was a funky blue over bahama yellow. It had fiberglass front fenders and a ducktail.

    Thanks for that Steve.

I know the car. It's included on my database of known cars. It is in the UK and is being restored under the radar.
The car in the US dealer photos looked mostly all there and I made a tentative enquiry myself but never got a reply to my email. I had not clocked the fiberglass wings but there was certainly a duck. The interior was very complete.

I always wondered how a Rhd car ended up in the US.

Thanks again for the info. That still means all worldwide sightings are so far all accounted for.

    Hi Mikki

Thanks for that. I have 307882 as a UK supplied car with tinted glass and a sunroof non survivor. Are you saying this is a physical car running or under restoration survivor?

Is 307250 a survivor? I have no knowledge of this car on any database. ‘Chocolate brown’ is not a designated Porsche colour name for the 67S as far as I know. Was this a special order colour? Is it a colour change?

    Thanks for adding your input.

    Regards

    Hi Hugh

I know of a 67S Sand Beige currently being restored. I’ll see if I can get a VIN for you. As far a I know it’s an Aussie delivery.
