    Distributor curve for 1963 356 Carrera 2

    Gentlemen,

Can someone point me in the right direction for the correct distributor advance curve for the distributors of my 356 Carrera 2? I have the shop manuals etc but can't find more information than "28° max advance"..... That's fine but I need to rebuild my distributors to the right specs. The engine has been professionally rebuilt but then someone wanted to save the huge money the real distributors (or even good copies) cost. Understandable but the curves are very likely wrong.

A very good Porsche guy suggested that the curves of a 906 could work well. Any information around on their advance curves?

    Thanks a lot!

    Cheers,
    Mike

Still searching, I want to get these distributors done right. I can't imagine that it's so hard, someone certainly has this information or a friend has it etc. I'd really appreciate your help with this and I'd be happy to send you a little gift from Switzerland as my "token of appreciation".

    Thanks guys!

    Cheers,
    Mike

I know a mechanic who is one of the few in my region qualified to rebuild these engines, so he might be able to help you. Although he probably wouldn't mind the free press, I hesitate to blast his name on the Internet. PM me and I will give you contact information.

    Regards,
