    68 S Targa - For Sale

Well after some rational thinking I've decided to pass on the S Targa I recently picked up if anyone is up for a 'project'... I just have too much on my plate and very little room to just sit on the car (which is really what I would have liked to do).

The numbers check out and it's a real S chassis, but I can't offer much else in the way of information other than to confirm it is a poor left to right conversion that was previously registered in Qld. I can't tell you the correct colour as some idiot drilled through the colour plate for an alarm switch. The advantage of the poor conversion is that a lot of it is reversible and correctable.

It is a roller but forward dated and had the wheel base lengthened - and all this needs to be corrected. The rear guards are incorrect... They're actually RS flares and another member has first dibs on them, so they will be removed (unless you're quick and really want them left on the car). I do have some interior including seats (comfort). The front fenders are correct SWB but the light boxes were cut off - Restoration Design are remaking these pieces.

I've had a hard time determining a value for it and would rather offer it to the board before eBay, but for the purposes of complying with the forum rules I'm saying $10,000 and am negotiable... If you're serious I'll work with you on price and to get it delivered as well as anything else I can to help. If you happen to know where to find a complete 68 Normal needing a resto, you could do well for yourself. Having done my blue car I can promise you that this chassis is completely restorable with most metal available through the usual suppliers. I think the toughest bits to find will be SWB rear arches.

PM me if you've got any interest and I'll pass on my mobile number.
