I'm looking for gearbox #229687 which is a 902/1 box. Can you spot a serial number on there anywhere?

There was /is a guy up in Freso that had several early transmissions. I bought one that was fundamentally close to what I needed..Used to sell on ebay as arcane_kevin.At the time he was just hired by Canepa....

Pop a flange - if you've got a splined "male" driveshaft, it's an LSD...

The shafts spin different directions when you turn one. Not an LSD. I wish, I could use it.

So did mine... The very first ZF LSDs were numbered 004004 and had no pre-load (no wavey washers). They behave like an open diff when you turn the flange, it's only when they ramp up under load that they lock.

John Bunin gave me the tip and it turned out I had two of them without realising.
