Does anybody have any info on these car / still on the road?

    Hello,

I'm researching early 69t production cars,
In fact the very first 6 cars imported into the UK.

1st 119100006 Bahama yellow, Demo car.
2nd 119100008 my car, not registered in UK and shipped to SA, light ivory.
3rd 119100009 friends car, know about this one, earls court show car, tangerine
4th 119100014 given temporary QL registration & probably shipped abroad, no colour listed, leather seats.
    5th 119100016 Bahama yellow
    6th 119100027 tangerine

I've posted on DDK but thought I would ask here as these cars end up across the world in strange places, very interested in 0014 because of the colour not being listed and the QL plate.

    Thanks Lee

Well, not really Lee. It is the eight Porsche built T coupe. As you can see from the production numbers it was not a priority for the factory; hence the 160th built Porsche coupe body, and #0026 was the 500th. Karmann was building them 10 times faster, and Porsche was building the Targa 4 times faster. It is the earliest T that I know exists however.

    119100001 to 119100343 911 T Coupe
    119110001 to 119111282 911 T Targa
    119120001 to 119123561 911 T Coupe Karmann

    Hello Dave,

I guess I worded it incorrectly as that's exactly what I meant.
    Appreciate your help...

I need to send you something via email.

    Cheers lee

    Hello Dave,

Does 0011 have the same type of strange paint plate with body number that doesn't match the dash or knee pad?
The owner of 009 confirmed to me a while back that his is the same.

    Do you have any info.

    Thanks Lee

I do not know, but will try to find out. Do you have a photo of 009 paint badge?

I don't think he will provide it for security reasons. But will find out.
Hugh said to me a while back that he thought the paint badge was from another car but this is not the case,
I know for sure 0008 and 0009 have two body numbers, one on the plate and a different one under the dash and knee pad.
    Knee and dash match.

Could it be a pre production number on the plate?

Would be interesting to see if 0011 has the same and what the number is?

    Thanks Dave,

    lee

It is very difficult to know just what the number on the badge is. The only other cars with anything similar are the 3200xx prototypes. It would be interesting to find a few more. There will not be very many, that is certain.
