    Northwest bodywork reference needed

    Hello all.

I'd like to find an experienced auto-body person or shop to help me get my 1969T restoration moving. work needed includes:
    Replacement of headlight bucket.
    Fitment of front fender
    Fitment of door
    Fitment of rear deck lid
repair of rear latch crossmember -might need remove and replace.
    Various dings

I'd like all the work to be nicely done with correct gaps. Finished in primer or painted (Irish Green) is okay. I used to do this work myself "back in the day", but just cant seem to get the time.

    I am in Portland, Oregon.

    Regards,

    Bill

Give Rothsport a call to see who they use.
Also there is a very good shop in Bend, German Master Tech.
I've seen good things on-line about them.
They are currently doing a 74 Euro RS that looks incredible.

+1 on German Master Tech although they sub the body/paint out.

I like Marv at Magic Customs in Lynnwood. Knows the cars and work is A+

Rothsport works with a painter, but I think they would prefer to keep that name private. They would probably be able to give you some ideas though. I don't know of any others in the Portland area myself. Marv is probably the best in the NW but busy with high dollar insurance work most of the time. Eurotech is also near Seattle. Mark Israel there has done several jobs for me, and I would recommend him. Kelly Taylor is also excellent, pretty busy with Road Scholars stuff now though.

Thanks for the leads guys. I'll follow-up. My '69T is a great candidate, but it will be hard to "compete" with high-dollar "E" and "S" restoration projects. Ideally, I want to work directly with the person doing the work.

I need to drop my transmission off to Rothsport soon so I can speak with them then.

    Thanks agian.

+2 to Marv, but as stated, he's really busy with high-end jobs. I'd also check with Racecraft in Woodinville, if that's not too far out of the way for you.

    Here's a "new" painter I would recommend:

Jason Meyering worked at Eurotech for many years and has now opened his own paint shop, Apex Autocraft in Renton, Washington. I just photographed two early 911s he recently painted (Signal Orange and Canary Yellow). Both look fantastic and the price was right. He does some of Racecraft's projects.
