    date stamped body parts

When did Porsche stop date stamping body parts?
If they date stamped into 69 would anybody know what "363" on the door just above the large hole be about ?
One other quick question did 69 doors have no previsions for power windows?
    Thanks

power windows were first offered in 69, so doors should have window switch openings.

Is your car a Karmann car? They stamped some body parts with the chassis digits to keep the parts together (that's the assumption). There's a thread on here about it. If your car is a Karmann car check and see if the rear decklid has the same 3 digits on the center support.

    Thanks for the info

These doors are on a pretty much stock original 69 which have no openings for power window switches, could these have been old stock from 68 that the factory put on? I take it then 68 wouldn't have any power windows openings?
I need to either sell or trade these perfect doors it would be nice to know what they are fit for.
Yes the car was Karmann built but I don't have the stock deck lid any more and the front hood has no number stampings.

69 and up doors(to 74) will have the eight captive huts at the bottom, 68 back won't.

These 69 doors then don't have the power window cutouts and it's not an early VIN numbered car, it's in the 2000 range I believe
