Where to purchase real Porsche factory parts?

I need a few interior and exterior pieces for a '73.

I've read that some replacement pieces are not fitting properly and to add
to the confusion ( to me at least ) I've come across descriptions
in Auto Atlantas catalog the terms:
OEM and Original Porsche. I would think these would be the same and if not which one would be a more accurate fitting part?

Do you guys have a favorite vendor for Original Porsche Parts?

    Thanks

Yes, mine is Porsche. The local dealership.
If it doesn’t have the typical sticker on it or it doesn’t cost a completely outrageous sum of money for what it is, I usually assume it is a reproduction.

Beware the A.A. catalog and all terminology, sales pitches, and promises within. Want to know more? Search A.A. or Automobile Atlanta on the 914 world. Go to you local dealer or contact Stoddard or Brumos

In my (not inconsiderable) experience: there are repro parts floating around in the used parts world, so do not assume that because you have bought them from a car being dismantled that they are the parts put on the car by the factory. Collision repair shops in the past used repro pieces.

The used parts resources above are good, and likely know sh!t from Shinola.

With the Porsche factory selling tons of repro parts from a variety of sellers, buying from a dealer is no guarantee of genuine-ness. In fact, I don't think there's a body panel made anywhere that's at the level of quality of parts our cars got when new. Not being a luddite here... just a fact.

Having said that, some of the manufacturers like Dansk and Restoration Design are making better/more accurate parts than they used to.

In another thread, the news is out that Porsche is offering lighter-guage hood, fenders, door skins and quarters. None of that stuff is coming from them or any stamping resource they used in the 60s and 60s. I'll be interested to see these parts in person. My guess is they are Dansk.

I haven't had a bad experience with A.A. yet. I've also had good customer service with dcAutomotive and they have been pretty good about making sure that the parts I've gotten are correct and they are pretty fast with a response (plus if memory serves, you can bid them for some used parts).

I always call EASY first. However, for the 10+ times I've called them, they NEVER have what I want/need. He always puts the phone down to look around, but no matter if it's SWB parts or 74-89 parts, he's always come back with the same response. Maybe the things I need are too popular. I'll keep calling, but my expectations are pretty low.
