I actually bought a semi-pro-steam steam unit after seeing how well it worked years ago. Don't knock it til you have used them. They are amazing! By heating up the dirt and using the pressure to blow it out of nooks and crannies, you are able to achieve phenomenal cleaning results. As for scratching I would say no. Plus, you can wrap the wand in a microfiber and steam through it if you want. You are using the thing early on in the process so you generally have not done much polishing yet. The steam and water lubricate it so the micro fiber picks it up effortlessly. Heat is not so hot that it would effect the paint. If you are anal about cleaning, like I am, you will love it. Works great on vinyl too getting into all the little valleys in perforations where years of crude have settled. Don't buy a cheap one, they suck. $800-$1000 I would guess.

As informative as this video may have been, the content could have occupied half the time it took to view.

Great video but it was very long, I assumed it wasn't aimed at people who actually own cars like the one showed. The one thing that slightly bothered me was the interior looked absolutely mint, almost as if it had only just been fitted. It was clearly a very rare barn find indeed...
