OMFG! Score to the Nth degree! Congrats on the acquisition. Can't wait to see pics. Original ownership family and low miles? Nice. Hope it comes with all the original paperwork. Please post pics.

And what did you do for your gardener in return? No mention of that? Sounds like a hefty finder's fee is in order.

    nor could I ,

    BUT---

    appears Seller is happy
    Buyer : happier yet

and another one found and for that we are thankful.

    just think.

it could have been donated to a local charity OR

she may have called the recycler to come and retrieve it to free up empty garage space....

And because of a Yukon Gold style of opportunity one of our own is wiser for it, richer for it, and is going to bring another back into the fold.

Glad for your unbelievable find !

OR She could have sold it for what it's worth and bought her son some used 3 series BMW AND have paid for his college tuition.

Note to self: make sure will stipulates that any cars passed on to my children (if sold) must be sold by way of auction.

Oh come on. Seller did not care for the car or even care enough to research it, she just wanted it gone and was happy with a serviceable used car.

Most of us here love a barn find, if every old car went to auction these opportunities, and stories, would be lost.

Exactly. If I find a down on her luck mom with a 6 figure car sitting in her garage I will gladly aid her in obtaining an appropriate price for her unrealized treasure. I think this would bring me more joy than actually owning the car. To each his own, and great find.

Lucky it wasn't my Mom you took advantage of. The son will feel the same way when he figures it out

Sounds like "Good Karma" to me. Every dog deserves to have a bone thrown its way ........................

The score doesn't matter at the end of the game, its how you played that matters ...................
