    Wow. You guys are good.

I've been waiting to write a post until I had more time (I'm in Hershey now and had a crazy last week) but since I've been outed... I bought this car.

A couple points, if I may. I did not buy the car from the OP who acquired it from the widow of the original owner - although I did speak with him when researching the car (and he seems like a very nice guy). I'm making no judgments about any of it. And while I certainly understand that others may, the situation was immaterial to my buying the car after the fact.

I purchased the car from another seller who recently acquired the car from the OP. As hesaputz referenced, this seller has had a bumpy history when it comes to some of his online dealings and I was upfront with him that I was aware of that fact. To his credit, he didn't try to hide from the situation at all. He was frank with me, took responsibility for the problems he's experienced in the past, and demonstrated to me that he's worked hard to overcome his mistakes and rebuild his reputation. I'll refrain from posting his name (it's out there for people who care) but I will say that, in my case, he went out of his way to handle this transaction in a fair and ethical manner. I would have absolutely no reservations about doing business with him again and I'm sure that I will.

As for the car - I'm pretty excited. While it's going to get a full restoration, it's really a helluva starting place. I've been quietly looking for a '65 for more than a year now and this car is the most complete car I've seen - probably due to the fact that it was parked 40 years ago, with slightly over 50k miles on it, and it's just sat ever since.

So, consider the mystery solved and, again, my sincere thanks to Frank Beck for his valuable time and advice. This deal wouldn't have happened without him. 301100 is now on her way to Texas and I'm starting to think about her restoration. This should be fun...

Another Togo car??? I feel less special now. Actually, not really. I think mine is still the only one I know of that runs, although I look forward to seeing more on the road soon!
