I've always liked the Abarth - but Justin won't sell me his...

I've had a stocker modded to two central pipes before, pretty loud but not too crazy. Cool "ripping paper" noise up top.

I'm pretty sure my old 2.4 targa had a s/s dansk sport - sounded great, only a little louder than stock.

yes the Arbarth sounds really cool with SSI's. Good from the inside, and those who have followed me through the Royal National Park have been glowing in their praises! It also aids the perforamcne I think. The dyno figures from the PCNSW charity day a few years ago were quite encouraging.

I must say I am quite attached to it, but have thought from time to time I should sell it and put a sport muffler on, but I have no idea what it (the Arbarth) is worth. Make me a ridiculous offer and I'd consider it I suppose Ryan!

The racing exhausts are also quite good that Andy talks about, but you lose your heater. But more perfomance for less heat is worth it if you have a group S car.

I would love to put a set of megaphones on mine, but fear they would be highly illegal and completely impractical. You haven't lived I reckon until you have not heard an early 911 being driven in anger with a set of these on. I have referred to it in the past as the Zuffenhausen Symphony.

Just how ridiculous are we talking... (There are also new S/S ones on German ebay).

Also, the Penrith special will work with SSI's if you want to keep heat. He can supply a muffler only or a muffler and extractor combo.

Make sure you check the size of the outlet. I recall tons of cars in the 90's running Montys and they nearly all had 4" and 5" outlets. Not a good look...
