. . . Ferry's Personal . . .
'. . . All Porsches are special, but some – like this one – take special to a whole new level. This car once belonged to Ferry Porsche, who has a reputation, shared with other members of the Porsche family, for customising each of his vehicles with extra details that had not yet been rolled out in series production, or that were simply not available on standard models . . .'

just a little personal story to add to post#35
August '94 I was in California for the Ferrari Monterey historics and went to Tweeks at Long Beach for my want list
they said there was a PCA Long Beach concours at Marina Vista Park and if we got down there pronto we would see some nice cars
low and be old there was a stunning 1961 cab in slate grey whose bodywork detail didn't quite gel with what I would expect to see on a T5 cab
I spoke to the person who seemed to be the car's minder/owner - Craig(?) about it
my memory tells me it was a T6 2 litre prototype cab - there were 2 coupes - which Ferry Porsche had for his personal use
it also appeared in European Car in April 1995 - 6 pages
cheers
Dennis
1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.
