    A special 72S

    taken from: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-A-special-72S

I want to share a few photos of a very special 72S just received from Mr Konradsheim in Austria.
Over the years i've seen this car at various stages of restoration, now it's finished and is exposed in the Porsche museum for the 50 years celebrations.
It's a 72S coupe' specially made for Ernst Piech, the older of the nephews of Prof Porsche and son of Louise Porsche. Colour to sample (sort of petrol blau met), interior totally in buffalo leather with special houndstooth, including ST racing buckets, colour coded wheels, becker radio.
Special car for VIP "client", looks really gorgeous IMO.

    E Piech '72 'S'

Does anyone know anything of the history of this car?

Any VIN or Kardex information, delivery or dealer details?
How long did E Piech own it? Who did he sell it to?
Where has the car been all this time?
How + where was it found + in what condition?
    Who did the restoration?
    Who owns it now?

    .........

In a swap meeting in Italy (Imola), perhaps more than ten years ago, there was a 912 with
New York licence plate and It had a special shaped front luggage space.
The owner ( Mr. Mel) said that the luggage space was adapted to receive a Porsche family woman's big hat.
The owner had a factory declaration about this.
Anyone knows where the car is today?
