    71T Semi-Lightweight Build

So, this 71T has been in the family for many years. It spent the last decade or so parked under a houseboat. We almost just cut it up and threw it away 15 years ago but as you know times have changed. As I was stripping it down a few months ago I found it to be in much better condition than I thought. So, what the hell I guess I'll build another one! I'm going for a narrow body semi-lightweight sporty look. The parcel shelf, seat backs, floors and front pan need to be replaced. The good is everything else and it's very straight and never been in an accident. The car is original Light Ivory so it will stay that way. Non sunroof coupe. I'll use many S parts as the suspension, brakes etc. All those pieces are already finished. I'll build a 2.7 high compression MFI engine. 901 gear box with some short gears. You get the idea. I didn't blast the floors as they are being replaced anyway. Here we go.

Yes, I like it. I wanted to stay with the light ivory because it's original to the car but a narrow bodied ST is the direction for sure.

Great direction to go with this project! Light Ivory with a nice stance -- a classic "sleeper" look.

Sounds like you're up to your old tricks Scott?

Yep, that one is worth the trouble. I saw this one first hand before Scott dug into it. Very solid car. Nice direction for the build - that's pretty much what I would have done. Can't wait to see this one progress!
