Company that sells the front pan replacement jig is on a 6 month plus back order so we built our own. Have a perfect original no rust no accident 71 in the shop to make it from.

Not all that exciting but more pics of metal work. Front pan jig we made works very good. It's easy to forget sometimes how much work goes into restoring/building these cars.

You can't forget to weld all the clips and mounts back in under the rear seat pan. More to weld in but you get the idea.

Soon it will be pretty again. Front pan spot welded in. The gold color isn't rust it's weld through primer.

Parcel shelf seat belt mounts from John. Next will be roll bar mounts, seat belt mounts and dead pedal welded in.

So little time and so much to do. I thought about making a few more but the time you get the materials and time involved to make them there wouldn't be enough left on the bone to make it worth while. Stoddard will have them in stock again some day I assume. If you can get your hands on an original car to make it on it sure is easier. I have people in line to borrow it locally so it will be tied up for awhile.

Custom strut bar welded up. I took this idea from Gib's ST. I like the early look to it. It's a very 71 look as the RSR strut mounts came later.

Very nice work .....
....will follow with interest.
