Well I like Wagner, but without vocals. Though it is not opera, I like Beethoven as well.
Another good band to check out if you like bluesy rock is Hot Tuna. Jack Cassidy and Jorma Kaukonen (bassist and guitarist, respectively) from Jefferson Airplane. They do mixes of electric and acoustic and cover blues as well as something I am not sure what to call- it is kind of bluegrass maybe?
