    Emissions Testing in Arizona

I just bought a home in Arizona (coming from Michigan) and prior to transferring title I was directed to take my 68 911S to emissions testing. This is a Euro car and therefore it has no US emissions "stuff".

Does anybody out there have any experience taking a "ROW" car thru modern emissions testing?

    Thanks
    Larry

If you have collector car insurance you do not need to go thru emissions in az.

Yes, and your car will fail miserably without playing games with the carbs.
As a side note, the AZ. law was written by a friend of mine over his 67S. It took so long to go through he sold the car out of frustration to his son in Cal. and never got to use his law.
In Cal.Nothing special is needed on cars older than 1975 so has more relaxed emission standards, than AZ.
So buy collector car insurance if you do not have it and declare it a collector car when you register it and you will not have to pass emission with your car to register it, All because of a frustrated 67S owner.
    Tucson AZ.

Larry, welcome to the land flowing with milk and honey.

Mav is correct. Show proof of collector or limited driving ins policy when registering and the gates of paradise will swing open.

And if it becomes too cumbersome to title, I would relunctantly take your softie off your hand.

Likewise for Florida --plus -- no state income tax; registration is only about $50year.

Unless you live in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William or Stafford counties. But they're all in NoVa which is sort of not really Virginia anymore, so your original point stands.
