    fire extinguisher mount for 67S?

Who makes one of these? I will be switching to replica sport seats in the near future but have the standard seats now.

But I assume you still need the bracket that attaches to the seat rails no?

I just mounted the existing fire extinguisher bracket to two screws of the rear shift cover plate, didn't have to drill any holes or buy any parts.

    'Course . . . there's always the vintage alternative

I've seen these come up on for sale, every so-and-so often. I know-I know --- looks kinda klugey . . . but this one's been in there for 40-some years and seems to hold the bottle just fine

    Enjoy your choices

Does anyone have a photo of the brey-kraus bracket that is actually installed in an SWB car with original seats?

I put mine on the passenger footwell-- drilling into the tunnel exposes the fasteners to fuel and electrical and control interference and the wooden footboards are cheap.

But I would love to see if anyone has succesfully used the bracket, SWB seats, rails and sizes are different to shorthood.

I purchased a Brey-Kraus bracket after reading this thread and installed it in the 67S last night.
Slid the seat all the way back, removed the 2 forward screws and loosened the 3rd screw on each track.
I gently pried the track up and slid the bracket under one side at a time, fits perfectly.
The forward position of the seat is limited by the for aft locking lever.
I'm a little confused by the fasteners included for mounting the extinguisher bracket. The screws looked like 10-32 pan head Phillips but didn't work with the tapped holes.
I re-tapped the holes to M5 and will use low head hex socket screws.

Ken, thanks, so it doesn't clear the slider lever-- one could install it but then the seat won't go forward. This is an important fact that I'm glad we now know.
