It is best to import through the Netherlands. I have friends in Germany ULM that do this all of the time. The duty is much less especially vintage cars.
If you want to speak with him PM me I will send you contact info

    Cheers

I am trying to find out what I have to do to take a car back with my to germany later this year. Personal belongings? Do I have to pay toll? How much is it?

Maybe you can answer with a PM if this does not belong to this thread.

Thanks so much, and das nächste Bier ist auf mich wenn Du mal wieder in LA bist!

**Edited. Nevermind, I see that you decided to leave everything body color.

    Hi there,
I'm not a fan of undercoating or black painted trunks or engine compartements. I like it clean in just one color.
I already put a lot of love into detailing. Also the painter did a very nice job.
So I decided to leave everything in body color.
