Nothing very exciting about that part, I'm afraid. It's taken from a recent Biopic of Clapton ("Life in 12 Bars"), which was made with his co-operation and uses a lot of his photos and movies from the time.

The thing that was quite cool for me is that, when I bought the car and through the n years of resto, I didn't know about that bit of provenance. I found out by watching the movie (although I was tipped off about an Orange S in the film by a Porsche friend on DDK, so had a suspicion at that point that it might be my car).

I live quite near Mr Clapton in Surrey, UK, so if anyone knows him let me know - I believe he still owns the house, so we could stage a little re-enactment of my car gliding up the driveway...

    RIP - Diego Maradona

Not a 911, but a Porsche (I know, an Audi/VW parts bin car)

The car was bought in 1980 when Maradona was 19 years old in Argentina. He did not have the 924 for a long time; in 1982 El Diez joined FC Barcelona and moved to Spain. The 924 has since seen a ton of collectors, one of which once wanted to sell it for $500,000 back in May 2010. Bizarre prices for a 924.
