    Correct carpet for 1967 911S Targa

    The question came up over drinks this past week. What carpeting (1967 911S Targa) came from the factory? Were the coupes different from the Targas? Were the regular 911 Targas different from the "S" models? The one I'm restoring came had a type of velour, but I'm not sure it was original.

    I believe carpet was charcoal grey square weave thru '68 (Coupe & Targa), then velour started to appear in '69 E & S, perlon in T.

    E (or anybody else in the know),

    I was under the impression that dark grey velour (the silver knit style) was the only carpet color option for the 67S, regardless of interior color.

    Is that correct? Or, were light browns, reds, etc. also available in velour in 67?

    According to Brett Johnson's book, the velour used thru 66 911 was also used in 67 S models thru 308090/500464. Colors other than gray started mid-67...
