Oil Line Routing Help - SWB

I'm getting ready to install engine/trans in 66 911 and am not sure of how the long oil line that crosses over where engine and trans mate is secured. I think one mounting point is at or near the starter, and the other on the opposite side at back side of sheet metal. Any photos would be greatly appreciated. I did a search but could not find anything.

Thanks in advance for any help.

John, there were three bracket points. The first was a small 90 degree tab on one of the studs of the trans side cover. The second is another 90 degree tab that the top starter bolt goes through. On both tabs the line was secured with Adel clamps. I believe the third point, as you mentioned, was at the back of the sheet metal but I think that was directly with the Adel clamp.

Thanks Ed. That helps. I should have taken a photo, but remember saying to myself back then "I'll remember that." On the back of the sheet metal I think the Adel clamp mounts to a tab to keep the hose away from the edge as it makes its bend rearward to connect with the tank.

John - here are two photos of how the lines were routed on mine, similar to how Ed described. As well, both the starter and tranny cover used a 90 degree tab, while at the sheet metal it was a "stair step" tab (just made that up) - two 90 degree bends forming what looks like a stair step. Sorry the pic doesn't capture that, but could take one if needed.
