My 1969 911T I recently purchased, GREAT FIND

I have been a member of this site for a while and have bought and read many things on here regarding early 911's
I never officially introduced myself or my recent find to the group, today i am off so here is my chance to post about my vehicle
I bought this car on 9/23/13 and have it in storage, restoration is pending as i am searching for little things i need and looking for body shops, etc
The vehicle has a 911T body but has a 911E engine in it, it has the original recaro sports S seats which were redone in the late 90s perhaps
vehicle is very nice and straight, it does however have some rust in front floorpans, passenger's side is worse, the rear pans look good from what i can tell
Also has the original heart Fuchs rims from 68 i believe...need to confirm this

Congrats on your find! Are you going to restore it to its original condition or go with a more 'outlaw' look?

More personal touches to it, I will however go with the original tangerine color it had before, I plan on having an extra long hood with a hot rod stripe and a ducktail to go with it, also install an RS front bumper to match those. and also have an extra long hood, front bumper and decklid for easy swap when i want to go to a car show or something...just to keep as original as possible, seats and interior reupholstered as close as possible to original specs, i plan on keeping it so im not going to go "correct" restore since the numbers dont match

What do you mean, an extra long hood?

I think he means a 2nd set with stripes.
I do like the idea of an extra-long hood though

Congrats on your 911 and welcome to the Registry.

    Tangerine is a great color.

Indeed. Looks like a great project. It will be fun watching it shape up.

that's what i meant, 2nd hood for it's 2nd "personality", those parts are easily swappable therefore it wont ruin the originality of the car as well

I have a floor pan question...is it better to patch the rusty areas or simply change the whole pan, i've seen people patch the bad sections only in order to keep it as original as possible, i have a feeling that once i start digging in there i might be tempted to tear up the whole pan out
