Interesting observation Rick. That is very weird.
I can only speak for myself. I clicked on it to read WHY he wants THAT car; it's a tall order.

How about a color changed car?

Yes, all the scammers have a program that looks for WTB threads here, PP and the Samba. These are the ones who send you a PM or email saying they have the part in excellent condition but do not list a description of it!

I have an Irish Green, sunroof '69 E in restoration. Scheduled for completion in late '14.
Piece a cake to make it 2.2S specs.

Wow. Good to know on scamming technique.
    Thx.

maybe the moderators on the various boards (helped by some one with good programming skills) need to try to lure them out with some fake "WTB" posts so that the responders can be banned from the boards if that is technically possible - ie fight fire with fire on behalf of the members

in the meantime a change in the way posts / headings are worded might fool some of them for a short time

    Hi guys,

this is not a fake WTB thread, but a real question.
I don't care if the car is not irish green anymore, but it has to be born irish green...
It is weird to see that my thread was viewed that much. I have no idea why, this is just another WTB question among so many others.
Still searching after 1 PM with the real thing...
