1971 Porsche 911E engine stack color

I'm painting some engine parts on my 1971 Porsche 911E and was wondering what color the engine stacks were originally, right now they are like a flat black. From what I've seen they are either gloss black, flat black, or bare metal (silver). If anyone knows what color they should be, or what color their's is I'd love to know.

Hi Vapor- If you are referring to the intake manifolds for an E, I think they were satin black. At least they appear that way on my '69.
    Cheers,

    Ron
