Thanks 9er!!!! I got the photos so much help and greatly appreciated.

I think I have my project in a few sections now.

    1. Buy a 912, 911 in any condition and take 3 years of loving to get it on the road (PROBABLY 5 or 10 years)
    2. Buy a 912, 911 in any condition and pay someone to do body work/ paint. ( 10k budget?????) Saves on time for project. I am only expecting rust removal and primer for that.
    3. Buy a 912 or 911 Body which has been done for me and primed. ( probably 100 years to find one of those)
    4. Buy a car currently on the road and tweek it to suit what I desire.
    5. 60k budget max so if you are keen to sell and your car is worth that money let me know.

At the moment there is a 1966 red 912 on carsales that looks like a head ache but could be a good start as only 20k.
Alans 67 orange 912 car on carsales which is a top car but I need to pull out the cage/ seats and still needs a tweek (only to suit me) and may not make my budget.
Or there is that gorgeous light blue 911r which is out of my budget by a mile but as it is always is those cars make you do things you shouldn't do.

At the end of the day I would prefer a 911 over a 912.

This is what I am looking at having the end of it.

The cross between this car below and Magnus Walker style.

This car sold for under 30k I believe. Does anyone know of it.

Thanks for helping out the new comer

    Jim

I can see why you like the light blue car, unfortunately I think values have moved on a bit since that thread also.

It may have sold a little cheaply even back then, it was subsequently for sale for a much higher price, don't know if it sold or not.
