Pretty, but the period picture is strange. The car in the photo has a SWB mirror and LWB horn grills. Does that make it a 69? How does that fit with the 72 oil filler on the restored car?

the period photo is Franz-Joseph Reider at the 1973 DARM Nurburgring 300km. the entry shows the car as a group 3 ST in GT2.0 class He placed 12th OA against RSR's etc
I think that means it is 911 230 0444, better known on European racetracks in 72 and 73 as MY-AT 50 and featured extensively in the Kremer Racing book and Grand Tourisme Vol 1.. For some time it was in the UK registered VHJ554L and, I think, owned (or at least driven by) by Andy Prill
    can anyone confirm this?

How come the car has a SWB mirror and windscreen in a "230" chassis number?

To me, the rear view mirror in the period photo is too small to be standard SWB so could be aftermarket.

Same for the side mirror. Not a standard Durant if you look closely

Raj. The internal mirror looks too small and wrong color for stock as well. Maybe he did not like the stock mirror obscuring his view??
