    # seems to indicate a mag case. (nice assembly, with transmission, carbs, air cleaner, heat exchangers and oil tank, though.)

    I'm not familiar with the 1968 911 version, but my 1968 912 was the first version (I believe) that had US smog equipment, with an air pump. A giantic PITA! Did the 1968 911s also come with such devilish devises?
