I'm guessing that 90% of people looking at this thread, or posting comments have little knowledge about the owner/restorer of this superb car.... If Magnus Walker can pull together a load of great parts and have a really nice body fabricated, then sell a completely unoriginal car for over $300k, I really can't see why this incredibly restored 67 won't sell within or over its reserve. Jim knows his stuff, but the seller does too.....

If you have an original SWB 911, you should be pleased that this example is coming to market.

    Just my 0.02.

We will see what the Scottsdale auctions are bringing and where all is going.

    The car looks really fantastic.

I have seen this beautiful and correct car, thoughtfully restored by one whose experience is revealed by his attention to cosmetic and mechanical detail.

Beautifully restored. Same philosophy I am using, so I feel a kindred spirit. I don't think I have seen too many plain vanilla cars restored to this level. Most people don't think it is worth the money required on the base cars. That makes it rarer than one might expect. If the price meets expectations, expect to see more of these plain Jane cars restored...some well, others not so much.

The comment about Magnus is off base. It's not the same thing. Ditto for Singer 911s, Withoit outlaws, etc. Those are works of art and appeal on both passion and engineering in various measures.

    Hi Scott

Actually, the Tundra is mine. I have put 160,000 miles on it since new and is the best car/truck I have ever owned. Sorry, it is not for sale.

    Regards

    Jim

I too have seen this car up close and personal, and I have to say that is as perfect as they come. While I do know the seller, which could make a bit biased, I know the sellers work first hand and have come to appreciate his attention to detail. One look at this 911 Normale, and you too will appreciate the work that has gone into this car!

I've seen this car at various stages along the way. The finished product takes me back 46 years to 1968 (I know it's a '67) when I got my first Porsche in Germany. It's special in it's detailing and carries me back to the showroom. Some lucky individual is going to end up with a wonderful car.

I got a preview of this car finished over the holidays. It is quite nice and every bit the 1000 plus hour restoration we all strive for. Good luck in auction.
