So this is a US Cup, one of the converted cars but with the livery of the Euro Cups? I did think the VIN was inconsistent with the Euro Cups.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Sorry no, that photo shows how they left Andial after being converted for the U.S. Cup series.
This is how they looked when they left the Factory;

Thanks for clearing that up Mark. I have seen the photo of the cars lined up before but always thought that was the Euro Cup cars. I did not know it was the Andial cars. Now I know.
Ok, thats new for me, thnx. Strange to see them with full interior and even airbags. Why were they delivered like that ?Sorry no, that photo shows how they left Andial after being converted for the U.S. Cup series.

The 45 cars were imported as street cars with all US mandated safety gear just like any other 92 C2. They were basically a 964 RS with US mandated safety equipment and w/o cool seats and Mg wheels. The street gear was a disguise so cars would not get impounded at the port. 25 were converted to race trim and re-converted back to street trim when series was cancelled, 20 were never converted. All 45 were sold as street cars as Carrera Cup Edition for $13,740 more than a stock C2. I would say most owners earned a reasonable return on that $13,740
