….as Ed correctly highlighted, it's the moulds to reproduce the early Marelli twin plug distributor.

Prototype first casting now complete and ready for machining….

    ….and next to a genuine item….

As with his later RSR type Magnetti Marelli twin plug distributors, Ben plans to produce two versions of the earlier dizzy…..one with Bosch type internals and one a 'full on' perfect reproduction with every single internal component copied exactly as per the original

    Cheers,

RSR pulleys were unique in the mounting. They have almost twice the length of fit over the nose of the crank and required a special nose bearing or machining. The seal area has to be plunged a few mm to set the seal deeper or the pulley base will hit the seal. The original nose bearings were shorter. The pulleys also has a negative fit and are marked with #'s 1 or 2 to specify the interference fit. Mine is a #2 and has to be heated to install. I had to make special a special tool to remove it without bending it. The timing marks were 0*- 14*- 28*. A 69 to 71 MFI pulley can have the large holes machined in it to replicate the look. Gled
