'. . . Thank you to all who joined us this year at the inaugural 2014 Werks Reunion. I hope you'll agree that it was a successful event. We continue to read and hear the buzz about our little car show . . .
. . . As you may know, we sold out our supply of Werks Reunion grill badges. We are considering a reorder, but would like to ask those who are interested in purchasing to send us a note. Let us know how many you would like. Our goal is to be able to order the minimum order qty and maintain the originally offered price of $40, plus we'll ship them for free . . .
. . . We'd like to reorder September 1 . . .
. . . Send an email to vun@pca.org and indicate your interest and how many you'd like by August 30th. We'll confirm your order before charging your credit card on motorsportsreg . . .'

Porsche 906 . . .
Car is SMALL. Hard to appreciate from these shots --- + the car was posed on an kindovan-incline that made it easier to view . . . but disguises its dimensions
This is F Piëch coming on-line. Tubes, fiberglass, casual-appearing, w/ delicateness + craftiness channeling forcefulness --- a smart car/not a brute . . . taking the 911's motor + some assorted left-overs, all clothed in the very-least amount of required bodywork --- more swathed than styled . . . and all to build something really sweet
And kinda frightening. Check-out those exposed tubes, control cables, + hydraulic lines, inside/on the floor. All nesting snugly 'tween saddle tanks. (Gulp!) Not much car, here, at all
Very steep learning-curve, too. 917 is 3 years away

More 906 . . .
Original wheels were steel-centers-w/-alu-rims --- which after almost-50-years of racing are about as available as a Mickey Mantle jo---, er . . . athletic supporter . . . and as usable. (We'll skip collectible.) Nevertheless, although I can't quite make out the date . . . the rear wheel has a circle-stamped set of numbers (!) --- OG?. The front looks to be stamped '?? 74' . . . not surprising considering the car's been getting used --- like, a LOT . . . w/ the badges to prove it
Porsche's last street-legal racer
Beautifully built, too --- check out that front hood fit . . . and just about every single surface --- including the seats. Great to see this car!
