    Paris, 5th - 9th of February 2014

Since its creation in 1976, Rétromobile has focused entirely on classic collectors´cars. A world leader in its field, since the early 1980s it has taken place at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, Paris. In 2014, the show will be moving to hall 1, occupying 41,000 square metres of exhibition space – that´s 8,000 square metres more than in previous years.

... Retromobile on MediaCenter ... Gallery with 5.000+ images >>>

More space for displays, more comfort for visitors, more reasons to buy, to dream, to get information, or simply to admire the wonderful cars gleaming in the booths. More artists, more clubs, more federations, more vendors of spare parts and scale models, more events organizers, more restorers, coachbuilders and car vendors who will, once again, do their best to live up to the expectations of visitors from the four corners of the globe. Only Rétromobile has so many surprises in store: it´s the show where Heritage and History meet.

After special features of the French Curves exhibition of the Mullin Museum, Amphicars, the tribute to the legendary Citroen DS or the Propeller Cars of Marcel Leyat in previous years this years Rétromobile will feature land speed record cars including “Babs” raced by Thomas Parry and the 350 HP Sunbeam Bluebird raced by Malcolm Campbell and a 4000 square foot diorama remembering the outbreak of the First World War. Other features will include the magnificent motor cars of the Maharajas led by a 1929 Isotta Fraschini 8A of Rajah Sajid Hussein of Kotwara.

A look back at the 2013 Edition

81,000 visitors in 5 days (2 late night session and a weekend), more than 500 vehicles on show over 33,000 square metres of floor space.

More than 400 exhibitors present in the “village”; an entire hall devoted to clubs and spare parts.

A large number of events: inside the hall the 30th anniversary of the Peugeot 205, the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, the Lambert collection, a tribute to the Citroen DS, the Benz cars from the Prince Heinrich race... and outside the hall a Mirage 5 and the Seguin, the first ever French locomotive (built in 1829) demonstrated in full working order.

An outstanding business atmosphere, culminating in the Artcurial auction that raised 14.6 million euros, with over 90% of the lots sold, with an audience of a thousand car enthusiasts. Among the exceptional cars sold were a Talbot Lago 1936, which went under the hammer for more than 1.45 million euros.

Certainly Artcurial is back again this year with an interesting line-up of cars as seen here

If you ask for a dedicated stand for early Porsches, the answer is no. It is more organised by "shops" and "collections". You may find cars, bikes and some other nice things on wheels, accessories, memorabilia etc. also.
    There is also auctions.

I was disapointed last edition, as not much Porsches.
