Yes the car was Metallic Green between the Slate Grey and Black.
We did find slate grey in the protected areas. And mouse nests - lot's of mouse nests.
This beauty was above engine pad.

Nice warm Montana home for a rodent!! Best removed from a 911 however. Still pretty cool.

You know you are making progress when you've evicted the last mouse from your car!

    Cheers -

I pull those out my car every spring, I once found 1/2 bag of dog food in the frunk of one of my 911's.

Cars parked outside make great mice habitat . . . especially the premium accommodations of an early SWB 911S!

Just thought I would post an update on the progress of the '67S Montana Shed Car.
I selected Freddie Hernandez of Vintage Sportscar Restorations in Oregon to perform the body, metal and paint for the car. I am thrilled he accepted this car and can't wait to see his Glasurit paint job in Slate Grey.

We had the car "dipped" in Portland and the car came out really nice. Rust repair needed in the regular spots but overall not bad.
Freddie says it's a very solid car, never wrecked and has begun on the repairs. Some progress photos are posted below.

I have been collecting the parts we need and getting the stuff refurbished and restored. I will be dropping off the interior next week so when the body is finished it will be ready to install.

Jeff Gamroth has disassembled the engine and has begun rebuilding that and the transmission. We're about 6 months away from beginning re-assembly.

Since this car was originally delivered in France I have decided to finish it as I would have personally ordered from the factory if I could in 1967.
It will not strictly follow the COA, but I intend on owning and driving it the rest of my days and pass it on to my son. Therefore it will have bit of a sports-purpose feel.

Well, no hot rod but Gamroth will tinker on the motor a bit for a few more HP & Ft Lbs.
Other will be stuff that was available from the factory - limited slip, leather interior, sport seats, sport suspension, bumper guard delete, euro ride height, euro corner lights with yellow headlight bulbs (as was delivered to Sonauto in Paris). With the team I've got it will be fantastic. Can't wait!
