Confirming production date for 73S Targa

In the process of acquiring a 1973 911S Targa. Is there a way to confirm the month/year of production for this car? The car is missing the door jamb sticker & original dealer stamp folder. Records only go back to 1998, so I'm trying to unearth the origin of this car to help make for worry free purchase. Could we possibly use the sequential number 0517 to compare with another S Targa to match the date? I'm planning to have a CarBone replica sticker made & need the date.

    smiles,

Your car is in our Registry Roster (car listing) that you get when you become a paid member....

The closest numbers to yours would put it around Feb. '73...

    Hope this helps,
    Chuck

My 0830 was built in May 73, just to give you a ballpark estimate so Chuck is probably close.

Thank you Chuck & David. I just paid for the membership. What kind of details will I find on the car registry list?

Chuck, Is the Registry Roster provided in hard copy once per year, or when you join?

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Tony and all,

The club Roster (car listing) is sent to our paid membership once a year in a pdf....

Wither a member comes or goes the car info stays, the latest pdf has 4573 listing starting from about 35 years ago....

smiles - The Roster has as much info as a member is willing to give to the club and published to it's paid membership...
    Typically - Year/Model/VIN/Engine No/Trans No/comments/owner's contacts

Thanks Chuck. You stated my VIN was already on the roster. Would I be able to see the previous owners provided information on the roster for my VIN?

    Lightbulb

Yes sorry the VIN as well (edited former post)

As far as multiple owners on the same VIN ? ...
It's happened, but it's less likely that two or more owners would be present or former paid members of our club...
